Outcomes

Of the 705 young people engaged in Roca’s High Risk Intervention Model , 90% have been retained and are still actively engaged in a transformational relationship.
Participant Process Indicators for Phase 1 & Phase 2 participants:
- 81% had no new arrests between July 09-June 10
- 89% had no new pregnancies between July 09-June 10
- 79% were engaged in life skills, education, and/or employment programming
Participant Outcomes for Phase 3 Participants:
The following chart outlines the initial outcomes for 62% of the Phase 3 participants contacted during a one week span.
- 78% have sustained constructive peer relationships and 88% have sustained constructive adult relationships
- 74% have sustained educational gains and/or connected to post secondary education or employment
- 79% have sustained employment retention
- 98% have had NO NEW ARRESTS
- 90% have had no new pregnancies
Employment Programming
Basic Transitional Employment
A total of 135 young people were enrolled in the Key Project from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010. All participants were ages 16-24 and had two or more of the following risk factors: street-, court-, or gang involved; formerly incarcerated; young parent; substance abuse; little to no work history; no GED or high school diploma.
The following is information on the 135 who participated in the KEY Project in FY10:
- 91 participants- 67% -are still active in the KEY Project (in slots, in re-hire)
- 44 participants-33%- completed the KEY Project
- Of those 44 participants who completed the KEY Project:

36 participants- 82% -were placed in jobs and or re-engaged with education.
Of the 36 placed in jobs/school:
- 29 participants- 80%- remain employed and or engaged in education
- 7 participants- 20%- were in re-placement with job development
